In short (TL;DR)

The AntiPanic app does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on a server. Everything you enter — diary entries, reflections, voice memos, settings — stays exclusively in your phone's local storage. We have no access to your data. Delete the app and your data is gone with it.

01Who we are and what this is

AntiPanic is a mobile self-help app for panic attacks, anxiety, and related conditions. It provides a structured 30-day program, breathing techniques, a state diary, and quick-relief tools for moments of acute anxiety.

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how data you create in the app is processed. By using the app, you confirm that you have read and agreed to this Policy.

Who we are: AntiPanic is a non-commercial personal project by an independent developer. Contact details are in section 12.

02What data is processed

While using the app, the following types of information are handled — either entered by you, or generated automatically:

CategoryIncludesProcessing
Diary entries Mood, intensity, text notes, date Stored locally on the device
Reflections / program answers Answers to daily prompts, progress data Stored locally on the device
Voice memos Audio recordings you create via the "Voice" feature Stored locally on the device
App settings Theme, notification time, language, personal preferences Stored locally on the device
Technical data Local device date and time (used by the program) Not collected; used in-memory only

03Where data is stored

Only on your device. All data listed above is saved exclusively in your phone's local storage (LocalStorage / IndexedDB / device file system). Data is not transmitted to our servers because we do not operate any servers that handle user data.

This means:

04Microphone access

The app requests microphone permission only at the moment you press the record button for a voice memo. The microphone is not used in the background, does not record continuously, and does not transmit audio to any servers.

Recordings are saved to your device's local storage. You can delete them at any time from within the app. If you decline the permission, the recording feature will be unavailable, but the rest of the app continues to work.

05Local notifications

The app sends reminders (a morning step reminder, gentle daytime nudges, an evening diary reminder). These are local notifications generated by your device on a schedule defined inside the app. Push services (Apple Push Notification Service, Firebase Cloud Messaging) are not used to deliver these notifications.

You can disable notifications at any time in the app settings or in your phone's system settings.

06What we do NOT do

The AntiPanic app does not:

07Sharing with third parties

Since we do not receive your data, there is nothing for us to share with third parties.

Exception: app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play) may collect minimal technical information (device model, OS version, install/uninstall events, country) on their side, according to their own policies. This is outside our control. Please refer to Apple's and Google's privacy documentation for details.

08Children and teens

The app is intended for users 16 years of age and older. We do not collect age data because we do not collect personal data at all. If you are a legal guardian and believe a minor is using the app without your consent, deleting the app from the device will permanently remove all locally stored data.

The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not comply with COPPA requirements for that audience.

09Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws)

Although we do not collect your personal data, we list standard rights that apply to the processing of personal data under GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and similar legislation:

10Security

Because data does not leave your device, the primary responsibility for its security rests with you and your phone. We recommend:

11Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy. For material changes (for example, if the app starts collecting data), we will notify you in-app and/or on this page. The effective date at the top of this document indicates the latest version. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
