Privacy Policy

Veil is a privacy product. We don't monitor, store, or sell your browsing activity — and this policy explains exactly what that means.

This Privacy Policy explains how Veil VPN ("Veil", "we", "us"), operated by Myxa Studio, handles information in connection with the Veil VPN mobile application and website (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1Who we are

The data controller is Myxa Studio, an independent app studio. You can reach us any time at support@myxa.app.

2Information we collect

Account & subscription

• Purchase records — subscription type and status. Payments are processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play; we never receive or store your card number or full billing details.
• Account identifier — if you create an account, an email address and a randomized account ID.

App & device data

• Diagnostics — aggregate, non-identifying data such as app version, device model, OS version and crash reports, used only to keep the app stable.
• Connection state — the app stores your chosen server location, language and settings locally on your device so they persist between launches.

3What we do NOT collect — our no-logs commitment

Veil is a privacy product. We do not monitor, record, store or sell:

• Your browsing history, visited websites, DNS queries or search queries;
• The content of your traffic;
• Connection timestamps tied to your identity, originating IP addresses, or assigned VPN IPs in a way that could identify what you did online.

Because we operate the VPN tunnel to protect you, we cannot and do not build a profile of your online activity.

4How we use information

• To provide, maintain and secure the Service;
• To manage your subscription and entitlements;
• To diagnose crashes and improve reliability and performance;
• To respond to your support requests;
• To comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse or fraud.

5When we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with:

• App stores (Apple, Google) — to process and validate subscriptions;
• Infrastructure & analytics providers that help us run the Service under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations;
• Authorities, only where strictly required by valid law — and we can only share what we actually have, which (per Section 3) does not include your activity logs.

6Data retention

We keep account and subscription records for as long as your account is active and as required by tax/accounting law, then delete or anonymize them. Diagnostics are retained only in aggregate.

7Your rights

Depending on your location (e.g. GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email support@myxa.app. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

International transfers: where data is processed outside your country, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by law.

8Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest and restrict access to data on a need-to-know basis. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

9Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Effective date" above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by other reasonable means.
